Problems with Lowrance 522c

I am having problems with the gps on my 522c.I have everything hooked up right and it works when I take it outside and turn the map page on, but when I take it out on the ice with the transducer hooked up and use it for fishing I go to the map page and there is no signal.

Any suggestions would be great.

I would say make sure the GPS part is turned on but it sounds like it if it works in the house. I would say take it in to a dealer and see if you are missing something. Thorne Bros is great at showing how to use equipment.

If the unit is new and you havnt properly initialized/setup, it's likely you need to go back to the manual and start over.

I remember having the same issue when I first got mine, a few min in the book solved the problem.
