0 chaffmj
Sorry not the collar. I am talking about the handle that you turn the gas on and off with. In my case it was a triangle shape with a screw that holds it in place.
0 Jeremy airjer W
gotcha, the handwheel is broke. You can also call any propane jobber like farrel or suburban and they should get you pointed in the right direction as well. some of those have some pretty interesting tamper proof screws. 0 chaffmj
Ya thats it the handwheel. You are right about the screws. The one that I broke off was easy and I thought I could just put on one from an old tank that doesn't have the overflow on it but I can't get it unscrewed. 0 Jeremy airjer W
The handwheel should be the triangular OPD handwheel. This is a grey area that we have run into. There where some five pound tanks that had the properly marked OPD valve and the wrong handwheel. If you look at the rules it says that the new valve should have a triangular handwheel??? If the guy filling it doesn't know what to look for than you may have trouble getting it filled. You could always try exchanging it?
0 chaffmj
Airjer you are correct on that triangle handle issue I forgot about that. I will have to try and find a triangular one so I don't have that hassle.
