Polar Vision Hand Held Digital Sonar

How many people use or have these things? Our fishing group uses a older model made by Polar Vision - it works good, But we have tried about 5 or 6 of the current newer models - and none of them work at all. Did anybody have a simular experience? Because when I talked to the salesmen - I was the only person on the planet having trouble with them. MarCum Technologies makes a handheld sonar also - I don't know anyone with one or if they work. Any advice would be welcome . Thanks

I have the Marcum hand held and it works well. I use it when setting up for spearing. Right now the ice is too thick to shoot thru so you have to drill a hole and skim some slush to get a depth reading but it's a lot handier than lugging a full sized unit around.

I dont have anything but a GPS Color hand held and a old marcum tv! I cut alot of holes before i set up my spear house.
