Scott K
It doesnt get cold up there does it? Ok, maybe a little. I would get a frost plug heater and just get one from a local parts store, Napa, Car Quest ect..
deadeye
Ditto. Zerostart seems to be the best quality from what I have seen.
Shack
I always say OEM (from dealer), but deadeye might have a good option for an aftermarket style. Also a guy gave me a good review on a Kats magnet oil pan heater from Northern tool. He says when it gets below -30, the block heaters do not heat the oil pan enough (heats coolant) and the extra oil pan magnet heater helps with turn over all the oil in his diesel up at LOW. Just make sure and bring an extension cord and a splitter and you do not blow the breaker for the plugin after both are hook up . Good luck! IFallsRon
A frost plug heater should work on most days but a high-watt tank heater is a better option. A lot depends on how much room you have to work with under the hood.
Jeremy airjer W
What kind of vehicle?
scully
It would be a 1998 for E150 van.
Scott K
I would just use a frost plug heater, it shouldnt need anything more then that.
Jeremy airjer W
Agreed, it will make a big difference on those really cold days. Make sure you check the battery. If its more than 4 years old it might not be a bad idea to replace it (with a quality battery) before it becomes a problem!
