Marshmiller Lake Report 2/10 Chippewa County

Recommended Posts

Fished Marshmiller lake last weekend and had very good luck on tip-ups. Five Northern and 5 bass in 2 days. The gills were there but hard to catch. I kept 10 over the 2 days and lost one nice one to the vexlar. I have an 8 inch auger and the fish was curled in the hole. Hpe this encourages more reports for other lakes in the great state of Wisconsin

I have always wondered why no one talks about Marshmiller. I know there are a lot of people that fish it and that it is a good lake for fishing. I have asked about it and that area before and have not gotten any replies. I'll bet if you worked that area with pimples or buckshot rattle jigs you could tangle with those bass and northerns.

Hey Muskiebuck, your the first person to respond to my posting. Thanks, I believe that you could have a great time working spoons in that area. I caught 2 bass on the jig pole using fatheads. I lived in that area for 40 out of my 44 years and know the waters pretty well. Where do you reside?
Anyway, if you have any questions just ask and I'll do what I can to help.

Bobberboy, I live Onalaska. I have a small cabin on the west side of the Holcombe Flowage though, and Marshmiller is definately within striking range. I'll bet there are a few other lakes close by that would be pretty good too.

There are alot of small lakes off Hwy M that are good. Also quite a few in the Blue Diamond area. I have a cabin across from Larabee Lake which is about 200 acres give or take. I've fished that lake for forty years and am very seldom disappointed. The Holcomb Flowage is some pretty good water too. If you try any of those lakes off M let me know how you do.
