Lx67 ice machine graph mode help

When fishing in graph mode I set my sensitivity untill the lure I am using shows as a steady black line. It does take some time to get used to it, but once you do it is easy to set up and get figured out.

It is fun to see how the fish relate to what you are doing based on what you see.

Good Luck....

Set both your ping and chart speed to the maximum. The faster those go, the more real time you are in.

I usually only use 3 things in the main menu: Sensitivity, depth range and zoom. I will also use sonar features from time to time.

I always have my auto depth range off for ice fishing. Gives me more control and I put it to the shallowest setting possible. I change it to the lake I am fishing. If I am fishing a new lake I have no clue about- I will put on the auto range until I am set up.

From there I use the zoom feature. I will go to 4x zoom when I am fishing an area where it is shallow or when I am only fishing near the bottom. I use 2x zoom if I can't use the 4x zoom.

The more the zoom the more you can get seperation of different objects (fish and your lures). If you are in 10 FOW the 4x zoom will give you a 2.5 foot range. On the graph- that seperation really shows up.

From there I set the sensitivity. This may change with each lure. Jigging raps and other horizontal lures really show up well. Jigging spoons and other vertical lures don't show up as well and you need to adjust the sensitivity higher.

I do as mentioned above- increase the sensitivtiy until my lure is a thin, solid black line. Any fish that comes in should come in as a bigger mark.

One thing to take note of- when a fish comes in while in graph mode pay attention to the colors and thickness of the line. Over time, you will be able to get a decent idea of the fish and sometimes even the species.

One thing you might want to do is go to the lowrance HSOforum.

You can go to their downloads and then to product emulator and then to the x67c emulator. Download it and play with it on the computer when you have some down time. That will help you learn how to use the options.

I did this before even buying my first Lowrance and I knew how to run the machine before even taking it out of the box.

Good luck- I really like the graph feature over the flasher.
