Chad's Guide Service

Our group went with Chad's guide service this weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better guide and sleeper. Chad puts you on fish and has great service. We always had fresh batteries and he swings in a couple times a day to make sure you are catching fish and happy. I have used a couple of other guides/sleepers in the past and I have to say that Chad is definately the best without question. Chad and his side kick Andy definately care about their customers. Just thought this thread might help others in the search for a quality guide/sleeper.

Thanks for the report, we are headed up in 6 days to fish with Chad, and I can't wait! I think I have every color and shape imaginable in my tackle box so we should be ready! Did you have more success with Fatheads or Shiners?

We just got back Sunday afternoon and with 4 guys we ended up with 60 walleye's and 1 perch. We fished from 1pm Friday to about 8:30 on Sunday morning. All the fish were on fatheads-but I would bring some shiners and try them out; the two bait stores we stopped at were out of them. Cabalas in Rogers have those big shiners now and they open at 8am for bait I believe, call first but if you come up form Owatonna you could stop right by. Of the 60 fish maybe 6 to 8 were caught jigging the rest were on glow hooks #4 all colors. Same story on the bite as above we would get 2-5 in 5 minuets then 1 or 2 for a couple of hours and this repeated all day. Night bite was good I would say at least 10 a night with the rattle reels. All fish were decent size only two small ones I would say 14 –20 inches is where they all came in.
