Ice House Fans

Does anyone out there use battery operated fand to circulate air in their Ice House? If so which type work the best? Rented a sleeeper for 4 days and top bunk was hot and bottom bunk was cold.

I just installed one yesterday, and it sure made a huge difference. I have a 6 1/2 x 14 house, and I put the fan just below the ceiling on one of the end walls.

I used a 12 volt oscillating fan that included the wall mount. I'm guessing the fan is 6 inches in diameter. I bought it at the local Fleet Farm for about 15 bucks, but also noticed that they are all over the internet.

I think just about any type of fan regardless where you put it would help. I think the biggest thing is just to get the air circulating a little bit.

I use the same black oscillating fan. Works great. Floor is wet and cold and ceiling is hot until you turn it on. Then everything is fine.

A computer fan can be rigged with thin wire hangers and held up anywhere you want it with push-pin type thumbtacks.

My #3 son installed a ceiling fan in his 8x20 wheel house. The fan blades are about 2&1/2 feet across and he says it works great. He has the heater on one end of the house and the fan on the other.

i use one from the ozark trails fan from walmart and it works really good for me moves a lot of air and dose not use much juice but i run it off of my deep cycle

I think I have the same one! It is big (problem 10"x10") and runs nice on 12v. High, low and off settings? I got it out of the clearance isle for $7.00. I have not used it fishing yet, but I will one of these times.

I used a strap and the clip/hook on the fan hangs nice anywhere I want it in the shack. I have a small inverter in my porty, that I would plug it into, but one could snip off the plug in (black box) and install alligator clips for a battery.

Very nice fan when I fitted it for my porty in the garage.
