Problem with empire direct vent heater?

I have a new ice castle. The heater does not want to light. When it does it does not blow more than warm air. The stove aslo does not have good flow. I thought that the tank may need purging so I switched tanks and still have the problem. Now the stove top works (although intern=mittent low flame) but the furnace won't fire. The elect pilot ignitor just keep trying to light. Do I need a new reg or can I take a torch to it to thaw it out? I don't know if there is plastic or rubber in the reg that I may damage? I am supposed to use the house tommorow! Any thoughts?

I would not use a torch on it, can you take it off and get it inside to thaw. Are you sure the regulator is big enough to handle the load? They make at least 3 different sizes. I always have a spare in my house just in case. Good luck.

I also have an Empire direct vent heater. I am currently in my ice house and I want to rip the thing to shreds and throw it out door.

It lights.... when it feels like it. It won't run on low and the high heat runs you out of the fishhouse. I hate the thing.

It is currently in three parts on the floor of my ice shack and I feel like I am in a sauna. I had to take it apart to make sure the pilot was lit. You can't tell unless the cover is off of it.

Our current plan is to rip it out and find something else.

I forgot to add that everytime I hit the ignite button I get shocked, and the ignition wire falls off the bottom of the unit everytime we move the shack.
