MN Shutterbug
I have to say, I am quite surprised with the quality of this lens. Although not an ultra wide like I'd have preferred, I'm very happy, considering the price of this lens. This is the 3rd generation 18-55 Canon lens. I can't see any difference in sharpness, from edge to edge, no vignetting and the only chromatic aberration I could find was a teeny bit in both left hand corners. At that, I had to magnify incredibly large, to see them. This shot was taken at the 18mm end and no cropping, just a tad USM. This is out my upstairs back door. Now you can see why avian photography does not work here. I just dicovered that this lens also has macro capabilities. The problem is, I can't seem to find any bugs or flowers around.
