dyna-glo heater issues

Question

i have a couple year old dyna-glow wall heater in the perm. just bought the house yesterday. upon fishing in it for the first time yesterday night the heater kept kicking off! after restarting it it would run for a few minutes and the pilot ligt would start spitting and sputtering then shut the heater off again. after messing with it for 30 min i grabbed my sunflower from the truck and used that! any one have any ideas? email me at [email protected]

Jesse, is the Dyna Glow you have VENTED, like out the back, or via chimney, or is it a "ventless" job?

DOn't sleep in your shack till you get this resolved. Don't sleep in your shack using a sunflower heater either.

Also, if you use or have a carbon monoxide detector, that's great, but make sure it is less than five years old, they all should be dated somewhere.

Another free tip: Did you know, that when you push the test button on a carbon monoxide detector, it is only verifying that the battery is working, it has nothing to do with verifying the unit's capability to continue to detect carbon monoxide.

I know of a young fellow who died in a Minn cabin, the heater was burning dirty, it was vented, and he even had the window cracked open an inch, the heater and the carbon monoxide still killed him, please be careful.
