Gophers at Iowa tonight.

Another big 10 game for the Gophers tonight at Iowa. The gophers are the better team but Iowa can really shoot the 3 ball. Carver Hawkeye is a tough place to win and the Gophers will need to play that great perimiter defence, to shut the hawkeyes down from long range.

Man it was ugly, but they got the "W" and that's all that matters. When was the last time you saw any basketball team hold another team without a field goal for 15 minutes?

Once Tubby went to the zone it was a different game. Iowa just had no answers for that match-up zone. Anytime you shoot under 40% on the road and have your leading scorer held to 10 points and you still win, especially in the Big 10, you gotta be happy.

They also dominated on the boards, especially on their own end of the floor. This was a big time win for the Gophers even if it wasn't very pretty.
