St croix ice rods

Went hunting with a rep for st croix rods and he said that they are coming out with a new ice rod this winter and they are supposed to be awesome. thet are going to sell for 29.99$

St. Croix told me that Gander Mountain will be carrying them. Can't wait to see em.

I'll dredge this back up to the top. I was thinking about buying the cheaper Thorne Bros (Micro maybe-about $30) to compliment my Sweet Heart, but I would like to take a look at what St. Croix is offering. Does anyone have any information of action, power, length, handle, blank material, ect? Will Gander Mountain be the only place with them?
They sound interesting!
