2 hp tecumseh

Ok---need some help----I've had my 2hp apart so many times dealing with the kill switch i"m sure I've got the spacer between the carb and engine block in wrong. On the nylon spacer there is half moon gas passage way etched into the spacer. So my question is does the passage way go towards the carb or the engine and is it in the up or down position???? I'm sure its a dumb question but my brain is kind of toasted at this point. Thanks guys

Try now, I had the p&d reversed

I just had mine apart yesterday and I'm pretty sure it goes toward the engine. I have to work on the throttle again tomorrow and I'll look again and get back to you

The half moon goes toward the carb and should be in the up position
