i'm looking to spend no more then $600. are there any out there that are quiet like the hondas but not as expensive? i just want something that is quiet enough so i don't hear it while i'm inside the house and it doesn't drive the neighbors nuts! what other generators do people use besides honda?

I had the same dilemma about a couple weeks ago. I posted this same topic and after a lot of contemplating I ended up going Honda. I absolutely love it and am glad I spent the extra money on the Honda. I've used it several time and I can get about 10 hours (with the eco switch) on a gallon and a half of gas. The Honda will literally pay for it self, especially if we seen $4 dollar gas again. And by the way it is super quiet, I actually have to listen for it to hear it inside my shack. Here is the post I think it will help convince you, just like it did for me.
