I went to leave the house yesterday to go fishing after the ice storm, I pushed the garage door button to open the door and it starts to jump/jerk and finally the bracket arm rips the U bracket right off the door. The 8' door is now dented on top and panels misaligned.
I'm guessing when I installed the openers back in Aug, I forget the step of unlocking the trolley so that when it binds, it'll disengage and travel down the track without the door in tow.
It appears by the epoxy left behind, the U bracket was just glued on. Is there some tool to use other than a straight hammer to pound out the dents?
