St. LOuis Bay eyes

Went out last night with the Poutslayer. He only managed 1 sturgeon. I caught 3 eyes, one was 17.5" and the others about 14". Also 1 sturgeon. 23 ft. of water on the MN. side driving across from loonsfoot. Going back tonight to get the last of the eye season in.

Isn,t kinda rough driving across the "pack ice" out there?
Condor and I are heading up to LOL and Red tomorrow morning until sunday, so I guess I won't be able to fish the bay any more this year for "eyes"

No the ice was fine. Several trucks out there. Jar Jar from what you have heard what depth should I be in? I was thinking shallower tonight? 18 ft. or so or stick with the 22-25'?

put the new blades on will find out fri if they are sharp. Northlander you have till sat dont forget the last day out there.

We usually stick to the 22-25 ft range. I guess I have never fished any shallower out there.

Tried it again tonight and had 1 big fish on for a bit and lost it. Probably over 5 pounds. He really hit hard to. Came up 2'. Didnt feal like a pike so I bet I blew the only hit any of us had!
