I lucked out again by having this non-timid little Northern Hawk Owl sit and pose for me. He or she hung around until it spotted a doomed field mouse approximately 200+ yds. away and then went in for a successful kill!

The sky was completely overcast in this scene (in fact it was snowing lightly), thus explaining the totally white background in the frame. Question, "is there anything that can be done to change a background color, or is it simply a case of going with what was captured at the time"?
