My brother lives in Eau Claire, we have fished Red Cedar in open water and tried it once for ice fishing. Not a lot of luck during the hard water season. what other lakes would you recommend in that area for a couple of day trippers? Thinking tip ups for pike and walleyes/perch..........rock bass would be good for my brother

Well can't say much right now as to whats biting where as I have been in the woods deer hunting. Won't make my first trip on the ice to Saturday maybe. Red Cedar is a good bet for eyes and perch. Chetek chain for northern. Big Chetac for eyes, northern and perch and gills. Another good bet would be Big Round in Polk County.

I haven't fished it this year but I hear Staples Lake on the Polk/Barron Line is producing some panfish.
