fishhuntwork
Hello guys, first time posting great site. Looking for some help with my truck. Its a 1999 chevy silverado 1500 with the push button 4 wheel drive. When you put it in 4 wheel drive and the trans. in reverse and turn the wheel the vehicle seems to hop and it feels like it binding. Any help would be greatly appriecaited. I've seen problems like this with full time 4 wheel drive but this is push button.
Macgyver55
Any time it is in 4wd and on pavement it will/should do that. It doesn't matter if it is push button or manual lever. It only means that it is in 4wd and when you try to turn the wheels "hop" because they cannot slip on the pavement as easy as on dirt or snow. In short....its normal! Dozer
I have a 00 chev and it does the same thing. I went from a 97 and that one didn't sound near as bad. When I first got it I thought there was something wrong with it so I took it back to the dealer, the service manager took me out in a brand new one just to show me they all do it.
