Problem with Honda transmission

I have a Honda Foreman with the manual foot shifter. It is stuck in fifth gear. I brought it in, they said that it is an internal transmission linkage problem. $500 to $1000 depending on which one it is. Anyone else have this problem before?

yes, the place i worked last year had that happen, sent the motor in to get it fixed, got it back installed motor tried shifting it and broke it again. I am guesing yours is about a 2002 model or around there?
