Hard water communication

From the posts here, it sounds like everyone is getting pumped for the HARD WATER season!!! With that in mind let's pick a FRS or GMRS channel we can use as a "Calling Channel" for Lake of the Woods... I've been up there and know several F/M er's are on the lake, but I can't talk to them... Like on Marine Radio, channel 16 is the channel you can hale someone and then go off to another channel for the talking. How many think a setup like that would have some merit with the FRS or GMRS radios on the Ice??? A good Channel could be 7/11, channel 7 with a subtone of 11, would work.. It's always nice to hear the conversations going back and forth, even if your not in that conversation. On the soft water I listen a lot more than I talk, and get a lot of useful info from my radio... Let's get some input.... Kaz
