First Ice Guess

Hey were are getting closer. I thought it would be fun to guess when we will be able to venture out for the first time. With in 2 hours of the metro when do you think we will have fishable ice? My guess Nov 29th.

I'm thinking we'll get fair ice cover by Thanksgiving in the Annandale area unless the well below average temps turn around. At this rate we'll have skim ice in the morning.

Been ice fishing on Lake Osakis many a times on the second week of deer gun season, so my guess with the way the weather has been so would be November 16th!!!

I'm a pessimist about stuff like this: December 5. I can't get out until Christmas time anyway, but that's alright, the walleyes are still biting here in Madison!

Earliest I have been walking on ice was Nov. 10th.

I'll give the 15th a shot. Water temp on the lake in my backyard is about 38 degrees.

Whew. Remembering last year when I had the boat out there on Dec. 6th.
