Rod Blanks

The Chemist

Question

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the last foot of fishing rods. I'm trying to finish some ice fishing poles that I started 3 yrs ago x-mas and want to finish them. I would need about 20-30 of them. Or if someone had another idea on what I could use. I tried 1/8 in. brass but that has no feeling to it.

Chemist

Was in the Bargin Cave at the Owatonna (MN) Cabelas last night. They have a 5 gal bucket chock full of rod ends - most are in the $3.00 range. There are various weights.

Make sure you look them over - found some that were broken.

Most of them are graphite.

Capra's in Blaine will have graphite rod blanks for a pretty cheap price once there ice fishing stuff is out (or maybe they will have them out anyway). I built a rod from the materials at Capra's, good quality.

Good Fishin, Matt.
