For clarification please.

According to the DNR a treble hook and live bait is a no, no! A quick strike rig uses a small spinner....so all I need to do to my tip ups is add a small spinner??

That is correct!Treble hooks need to be part of a lure in minnesota so a small spinner blade makes them legal!

Beads will also make them legal. The treble can't be more than three inches away from the main hook though.

I always add a little "jewelry" to my pike rigs, usually a hammered silver spinner blade as an attractant.

I understand the spinner to make it a lure, but I dont see what the spinner will do on it. Something for the fish? Scubba divers lol?
