archerystud
My English Springer Pup is great with people and she is very friendly. She is very friendly with other dogs, however when the pup is around other dogs she is constantly licking their mouths. It wouldn't bother my quite so much but when I say constant I mean constant. I'm concerned that if she runs into another dog that isn't very tolerant she may get bit pretty hard. She is only 3 months old. Anyone else had this problem and will she maybe grow out of it? I never had a pup do this before.
SP180
That is a submissive behavior for dogs. My springer pup does the same thing. Other dogs will let your pup know when enough is enough.

fishorgolf
I had a lab for 13 years that was a licker (people) all her life. Yes it was annoying sometimes but she was the best Pheasant dog I have ever hunted with. So, I guess sometimes you just have take the good with the bad.
