High noon slab bite on URL

I have heard of a new techique that is working on URL for the afternoon lul on the slab bite. It seems that if you darken the hole they are biting better in the afternoon. The people I heard this from were using that hole cover made by the same company making that Revolution case. I just use carpet but they swear by the hole cover. They say it seals all the light out and keeps it from freezing. I was just wondering if anyone else has had success doing this. Every little bit helps when the bite slows.

They work excellent on tip-ups and I have yet to freeze a tip-up in the hole with them.

I have tried jigging through the Freezebee and it does work to keep all the light from penetrating and spooking fish! Give it a try!

I have many times caught more fish with a hole that was 1/2 iced over. Thats when I switch to my 5" auger blade.
