Switching a safety from LH to RH

My father-in-law lent me a browning light 12 semi auto that has a left hand safety, he said i could switch it over if I wanted. Anyone ever do it?

I have a remington that I had switched from R to L, it cost me $10.00 at a gun smith

Thanks machohorn, I pulled the trigger assy apart but it did'nt look like the safety could be pulled out let alone flip flopped. I think I may need a rt handed safety mechanism, so a stop to a gunsmith is prolly in order.
