September Salmon Fishing - Door County

How's the Salmon fishing in September? My mom and dad are going to Door County and are thinking of going out on a Charter for Salmon. If it isn't a good time of the year to fish they can find other things to do. Is it worthwhile to go out in Mid-September?

Fishing is good in September and they should go. What they may find is that there will be some change in coloration of some of the bigger kings as they get ready to stage for spawning. There are many options from shoppping the boutiques to wine tasting at the local vinyards and art shows. The ferry to Washington island and tour of the island is interesting and there are alot of great places to eat. Depending on the time of year the leaf viewing is pretty awsome as well.

I just got back from Kewaunee and we had decent fishing. The Charters were doing well and it seemed the fishing got better each day we were there. I wouldn't pass up the oportunity even if the fishing wasn't hot.
