Aberdeen SD (Wylie Park)

Just got back from a long weekend to Wylie Park in Aberdeen SD. Wow I was blown away. If you have young kids you have to check it out. It is hard to describe but they have a Storybook Land that features lifesife sculptures, figures of tons of nursery rymes and books, a full size castle with a moat, the wizard of oz area that has a yellow brick road through the forest with all the characters, rides, tons of playgrounds, a petting zoo and big animal zoo, gokarts, bumperboats, minigolf, manmade lake stocked with fish, a great swimming beach, awesome campground... We will be going back every year.....

I will second Wylie Park. We stay there each year on our way to Sturgis and also at other times. Makes a nice bike ride. Also on certain weekends they have a ski show there. Also very friendly there. Awesome customer service!!!

Story Book land is great for the kids... we go every year and the kids don't get sick of it!

Wylie Park Campground Is about to be expanded by 23 camping pads and 22 camping cabins (some as large as two or three bedrooms) which will be located NW of storybook land.

Haven't been there in about ten years but oh did we have fun. They used to let you rent out the entire cart park after hours if you had a large enough group. Large family get together, lots of fun loving people and go karts late at night. OH YEAH!!! It is truly a gem.
