1999 Merc 150 XR6 info needed

I'm considering a used boat with the Merc XR6. I'm familiar with the EFI's and opti's but this motor has me concerned. Any input pro or con would be much appreciated.

Pretty sound engine overall. As with any other used engine check it over real good and be sure to do a compression check.

Yep.. a good motor. Do a compression test or a leak test, check the lower unit lube and go from there.
