Catmendo
Once again the smoke filled sky up here is having an interesting effect on the sun's color. The haze is the direct results of forest fires burning up north. In turn, the smoke from these fires winds up upon us when the winds blow out of the north. I captured these yesterday evening at the end of my driveway during a well involved sunset. The first capture was of this Wood Lily with the low lying sun (not visible) in the immediate back ground. Notice how the sun's light was able to penetrate through the Lilies pedal giving it that nice showdow effect on the other pedals. After capturing a few photo's of the lily I swithed my attention to the large drainage ditch that runs along the road in which I live. Here the ditch is filled with these very tall, broam like grass that I simply refer to as, you guessed it, "Tall Grass! Regardless of the actual name, the photo opps. became very intersting as the setting sun continued it's advance.

Paul
We too have been having the smoke the last few days. It is making the nice sunny days really hazy.
