01zr800 Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 I am new to icefishing and have a few ?'s after building a new fishhouse I have no extra $ to buy a vexilar but I have a brandnew hummingbird paranha 5 that i was going to install on my boat but sold the boat before i did would that work? Farley Posted January 20, 2004 Share Posted January 20, 2004 It will work. You might have to rig up some kind of bracket to aim the transducer straight down, some kind of tripod will work. I read an article Gary Roach wrote about using these for ice fishing. He claims that the response time is just the same. You can see your lure and everything. Personally, I've never tried it.
