Bald Eagle Reports??

Usually get out to Baldy 8-10 times by now this time of year but haven't due to some work stuff. Anyone with any recent reports of the musky bite out there? I know the lake very well, just looking for reports of catches, not your secret spots.

If you're familiar with the lake in general you have a leg up. Fish on BE and the metro in general have been spotty at best. Weather conditions like tonight have been a factor. If you're somewhat in the know, you'll do as well as the rest of us.

Fish are relating to the deeper weedlines, but under the right conditions will be on the spots you're likely familiar with. I'd say go and do your "milk run" of known areas and look to deeper weedlines secondary, especially those close to deeper water. If you're thinkin' of the edges I'm thinkin' you'll have a good chance. Edges nearby Cigar Island come to mind.....

Was out after the storm on Thursday and moved no fish. Water is startiung to get greened up pretty good. FYI - DNR has a sign saying the access will be closed on the 19th for a water ski show.

I fish it a lot and our boat has gotten a few fish this year - lost and missed our share as well. I haven't found them shallow yet. Cjac is right on - all the fish but one have been off the weedlines. That said, I got sick of fighting the wind yesterday and tried trolling for a while and didn't hardly mark any baitfish - maybe with the wind I should have been up in the jungle. Normally I love this lake for topwaters - this year jerbaits have been better producers.
