[wmn luv me walleye fearme]

I have a zercom model depth finder for ice fishing, it gets the depth but will not mark anything else. No fish, no lure bait etc. I've tried fishing with a large spoon just to try and mark something but no luck. I've tried several times to play with the range etc. and no luck. (Also have had several people that I ice fish with take a lok at it as well) Any ideas?

My suggestions would be:
1) get a shorter name.
2) buy a Vexilar.

Actually, I'd buy a new transducer and give it a try. If it doesn't work, bring it back and get a refund. The problem sounds weird, but I'd bet it's in the transducer.

I am gonna have to agree with scoot that it is most likely a bad transducer. If you drop them or hit them off the ground hard it can permanantly damage them.

I would...buy a Vexilar.

You'll be alot happier and catch more fish.

If it's a COlor Point and you havn't had it for more then 18 months they will honor the warrenty.

Thanks for the advice, "excluding the cheap shot on my long name" Sounds like if its not just the transducer I'll be getting a vexilar down the line. Also I think I know where that Fishlectronics place is so might be a good place to find out
