gspman
Wondering what everyone thinks of the various kits for crappies & sunnies. I think some are even available here at fishing MN. Do you have a favorite? My brother has a basspro crappie tube kit he likes.gspman
CrappieJohn
Kits are great when you are just entering into a specific kind of fishing, say crappies, and are not sure what to use color-wise, size-wise, or basically what to use. As you become more adept at identifying certain colors or baits for certain conditions you will find yourself getting further away from the kits and more in tune to specific baits. Like anything else, there will always be items in these kits which you will learn are little more than filler- some thing to make it look like you are getting a lot for your money. But in reality, it is a fair way to go to get a few of this and a few of that without having to spend a great deal on lures you'll use once and then still have a bagful in your tackle taking up room.------------------Plastics...making better fishermen without bait! Guest
Both of the kits from www.tacklecity.com are a good place to start and after a while you can get it dialed in as to what individual jigs and colors work best for your needs.------------------en kala(I fish)[This message has been edited by frozenminnow (edited 01-12-2004).][This message has been edited by Rick (edited 01-12-2004).]

Fish Trap
Cabelas has some nice kits for crappies and panfish. You have to build them, but they come with everything you need to build it. I bought one last year when i went down there, but you can go online and ask for a catalog or just to cabelas.com and order it.
