Could some one help in finding a place to do some ice fishing....... myself and approx 9 other guys from the firehouse are wanting to head up to Minn. for a weekend and rent a house out on the lake and try our luck at ice fishing. If some one could stear me a good direction I would appreciate it. Will be driving up from the Chicago area. We would like to find a place that would be pretty much all inclusive with the exception of food and beer. Thanks in advance. Eric

A good place to start would be Lake Mille Lacs. There are a ton of resorts that Have everything set up for you. If you are in for a longer drive, Lake of the Woods is another good place to go.

Ericn: My thoughts would be to Lake of the Woods. Especially if you're also into catching fish rather than just a good social time. The extra time on the road however would be approx 4 1/2 hours. I think you would really enjoy the action. Bill

hey!!!if i were you i'd come up to upper red lake....these monster slab crappie are there and waiting to be caught.....we don't have a 9 person sleeper but we have enough houses to accomodate all of your buddies....we will definately put you on fish and you will be treated like kings!!!we also bring out fresh soup right before the crappies are biting so you'll be catching fish on a full stomach...If you have any questions or if you want to rent a couple ice houses e-mail us at [email protected]..
good fishing!!!!

Foget Mille Lacs unless you can self-guide.

The rentals are never relocated to better fishing spots as the season progresses.

Go to LOW and get your money's worth...
