Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

Recommended Posts

This guy and gal are located right outside the cabin door making for easy shooting. The only problem is the wind was blowing about 40mph all day yesterday. You will notice some with hints of branches some with out along with the shadows, they were blowing all over the place. This is a sequence of coming out of the nest and preening and back in we go.

I have a lot of preening shots as well, but this was more interesting.

Great sequence of shots! You'll have to get some pictures of babies when they start sticking their head of of the hole and screaming at the top of their lungs. Hope you don't like sleeping in late they sure can make a ruckus. We had a pair nest by our cabin one year and boy where they loud.
