Catmendo
Once again while driving into the office this morning, I decided to snoop along Selkirk's water front just in case somethimg caught my eye...something did! This is a bronze work that acurately depicts a York Factory Boat and the crew that mastered them. The York Boat as they were more commonly referred to, were used to transport all sorts merchandise for the early Red River settlers. They traveled the from York factory which was located on the shores of Hudson's Bay to the Red River, a distance of approximately 900 miles. Small wonder men were physically as hard as nails in those days!
