i am heading out this weekend and was wondering what kind of lures to use for this weekend since i am new to musky/northern fishing and was wondering if the fish will be deep or shallow and in northern bays of the lake

any help will be helpfull

Again, it really depends on the body of water as well as the weather and all the factors that come into play (water temp., wind) I say hit the shallow bays up....don't stay anywhere too long until you find them. Fish your lures SLOW.....I've caught all of mine this year on the "pause" while fishing a jerkbait. Good Luck.

1/4 OUNCE jig and 3 or 4 inch gulp minnows worked for me yesterday. all fish in less then 6 feet.

Only one break off so a pretty good day.
