voltmeter gauge

Can anyone help,was out on oppener when i noticed the voltmeter gauge wasnt showing anything usually when you run the motor it runs between 14-16. Dont know if running phone charger in plug had something to do with it?

Check the back of it if there's any connector unplugged.

If not connections you might have fried the rectifier on the motor. Did you accidently hook your battery leads up backwards for even a second? If you have a volt meter test your battery voltage with motor at idle and at full speed. If voltage does not go up to at least 13 volts your regulator/rectifier is shot.

Valv,thanks for the reply i will check that out, just worried that when i plugged my phone into outlet it shorted it out
