FishNovice101
I have a 1992 Johnson 65hp outboard on an Alumacraft CS170. Every once in a while it will beep like crazy. The chart by the steering wheel says the beeping means the oil is low. But the tank can be full, and it still does it. Does anyone have any suggestions to what may be wrong? Thanks
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
You better have your oil injector checked! One of my buddies had his go out up on Kab two years ago. This is a common problem.

marine_man
Have the VRO pump checked out to make sure that's working correctly. The other thing it could be is the float is stuck in the tank, or the float is wore out, causing the false readings.Good luck!marine_man
BoxMN
Are you sure it is the oil beep, and not overheat alarm? If you haven't changed the impellor in years, give that a try. Thatis what my '96 25hp evinrude was doing, but it was a solid tone, and usually when trolling extended periods. New impellor fixed that Good luck!
