Like you Hanso612, too many defining memories of hunts to pick one species.

But dang it, if it had to be one, chalk up another archery deer hunter, and that just changed recently over spring turkey.

The reason it was turkey is because of the interaction. Calling and being called back too. Plus a heckuva challenge.

But since I've been getting more comfortable with calling deer, thats been more like turkeys. And more of a challenge for me to get something with a bow. Haven't even tried turkey/bow yet. I don't like sitting in a blind except for when its raining.

Archery for sure, deer, antelope, elk, mule deer and turkeys. And if only one of those, archery whitetails.

Of course I would still go sit in the boat during waterfowl season even if I "couldn't" shoot anything. I'm not going to miss all those sun rises with ducks coming in at cattail height buzzing the decoys.

Thank God I don't have to choose. My wife is still very understanding by most guys standards.
