H2O Ifinder C Help!

Hitman54

Question

I just purchased an new H2O ifinder C and the 2008 Navonics hot maps chip. I am one of those guys that can't stand to read the directions but I forced myself to do so. Can anyone tell me how to access the maps stored on this chip? I followed the directions on pg 74 of the instruction manual but when I get there I can not seem to make sense of any of the map names. They are coded. What am I doing wrong? I was expecting to see lake names or state names to click on and then get to the body of water I want to view. Any advice would be great!

Thanks,

Mike

I had a similar problem last year when I bought. If no one else chimes in with the exact setup, do a search for 1-3 years back.

But I remember you have to physically tell the unit which region you want to view. And you are right, they are somewhat poorly named. I think my region is named something like a shortened version of NW Minnesota. I know Minnesota was divided into multiple regions, 4 or 5 of them. You might have to guess until you find the right one.
