I am trying to plan a crappie trip with a few of my friends since they will have to take off work and I have a small dilemma. Usually on a normal year like last year the crappies on my lake will spawn between May 4th and May 18th somewhere in there. Last year we did really well on the Wisconsin opener but since the ice just got off on my lake up in Northwest WI I'm thinking the spawn will be delayed by 2-3 weeks. Tentatively I have the new trip planned for Memorial weekend since it is a few weeks later than normal and we would have 3 days to fish. What do you all think as far as timing for the spawn?? If it helps at all my cabin is near the Siren area.
