transom height?

I have a 14ft tracker with a 16" transom height. Do I need a short shaf or long? Thanks, Dean

Short

15" is short

20" is standard

25" is long

Jason is pretty much on track here, but I am going to have to add in a bit. A short shaft motor is going to be 15," while the typical long shaft motor is 20". A lot of times if you find a 25" shaft, it is considered extra long. A lot of times on sail boats that use a small kicker to get out of the docking areas use a 25" "extra long shaft".
