will be hunting close to Hillman on 120 private acres i never hunted the area, how is the bear population, the woods have never been hunted for bear. any information would be nice thanks.

I have hunted north and west of there a bit west of onamia. Did not get one but my Bro-Inlaw did 2 years ago. I was surprised at how many we had coming in and on the camera!! Most at nite though. Seems like they are more nocturnal in these areas around more people. Who knows. But I would think you have some roaming in that area!! Good luck.
