johncolson
I have a lake home on Mille Lacs with a 1 boat harbor and am wondering how useful this harbor will be since the lake is down a few feet. I called Triton to find out the draft on this boat and surprisingly nobody there knows. Really pretty unbelieveable but that is the way it is. Any guesses as to the draft on this 19' fiberglass boat with a 175 efi Merc. I am hoping to be able to use my harbor. Any help will be appreciated. marine_man
Any idea how deep the water is there?marine_man
PerchJerker
I would venture a guess that you can float that boat in less than a foot of water ...... the problem is that you can't really use your gas outboard or a bowmount trolling motor in water that shallow. johncolson
Marine Man, I really don't know how deep the water is in my harbor. I am next on Hunters Point on the east side. I just bought the place last fall and only looked down into the water, it could be 1 foot or 4 feet. I was told by the previous owner that the water is usually about 4 feet higher. johncolson
Thanks for the help Perch Jerker. My only worry is parking the boat in the harbor, so it would be no problem not using the the outboard or trolling motor. I called Triton yesterday, and to my surprise nobody there knows the draft on the boats they make. That is really a shocker. LOL
