Map Create problem

I got the Map Create 7 package last fall and the only chip I got is the 512 that came with it. I wanted to go to a 4GB so I could do the whole US on 1 chip so I bought a Lexar 4gb SDHC card and when I try to register it the window pops us for MMC/SD card detected but the driver doesn't show any card being there for me to register. Is the SDHC a card I can use or does it need to be a plain MMC card? Also will a Non LEI card work or do I need to buy 1 from LEI?

I don't know the direct answer to your question but I can tell you that the IFinder Pro that I have just wouldn't take a large file. This is a 3-4 year old unit so maybe that isn't an issue. I used Sandisk MMC cards and a card reader so I doubt that's your problem. Back when I was looking around I spent some time on a GPS forum and a lot of folks were saying the units balked at various mfgrs cards. I can't remember the name of the HSOforum - sorry.

I had the same problem and I found out my chip had a tiny switch on it that made it protected from being written on. I just slid the switch and like magic, the card worked. Look carefully for the little switch on there.
