Carp-fisher
I'm going to be fishing a small backwaters area down in Iowa this weekend mainly for panfish and perhaps bass (no closed season down there:)). The forecast is saying that there will be steady rain today and tomorrow and the area where I'm goint to fish has a flood warning through Friday. So its fair to say that I will be fishing during a period of rising waters. I've only fished this body of water during stable water periods, so I'm not sure what to expect. Are backwaters good during rising water in early spring? My fishy sense says yes, but I would like some opinions from more experienced backwater fishermen.... TurnUpTheFishing
I shore fish some backwaters of the river often and hands down high water is the best.
